The Texas Confederate Museum Collection Board of Trustees is composed of 8 elected members who have held memberships in the United Daughters of the Confederacy® for a minimum of 6 years and have given continuous, active service to the Texas Division or museum service with a similar entity. The responsibilities of the Board of Trustees are to act as a liaison between the Texas Division United Daughters of the Confederacy® and any other entity to which any portion of the Texas Confederate Museum Collection is or will be entrusted; conduct timely inspections of all property of the Texas Confederate Museum Collection to ensure that all items displayed, loaned, or stored adhere to current museum standards; raise funds for conservation and preservation of the Collection;  develop policies covering the Collection and maintain  membership in up to three professional or museum organizations for purpose of education. Each board member serves for four years and may serve an additional four-term, after a one-year rotation off the board. The Texas Division President serves as an ex-officio member of the Board.
