Texas Division UDC Business Office
United Daughters of the Confederacy®
Located at the Texas Civil War Museum
Fort Worth, Texas

The Texas Division Business Office was established in 1896 and has housed its historical and current records since that time.  Although we have extensive research material, information is limited for some Confederate ancestors and many of the older member applications have little genealogical information. However, some applications do go into great detail about the ancestor's experiences in the war so an inquiry and some research is necessary to determine just what can be obtained from the applications.

Confederate Military and pension records are not available through our office but one may obtain these records from the National Archives and Records Administration "NARA" at http://www.archives.gov/index.html , the General UDC Business Office located in Richmond, Virginia at http://www.hqudc.org/ , through the Texas State Library Archives at http://www.tsl.state.tx.us/arc/pensions/index.php and at the website http://www.footnote.com/.

Research is done as time allows. Initial research will be done for free; however all requests require a fee for copying and postage. In-depth research also requires a small fee.  Once it is determined how much material will be required to fill a request, an assessment will be made as to cost and the inquirer will be notified.

Please complete our form with as much information as possible.  Personal information on most living members will not be provided without the member's permission and that is required before any request or research can be initiated.  Should permission be required our office will secure a release and the requested information will be forwarded to the person making the inquiry.
