The purpose of this committee is to encourage each District Chairman to plan and conduct an annual program for celebrating Texas Confederate Heroes Day in January and Texas Confederate Memorial Day in April.   Texas Confederate Heroes Day is celebrated the Sunday nearest January 19 and Confederate Memorial Day is celebrated on April 26th. (Texas Division Bylaws, Article XXVI - Days of Observance).  If your Chapter or District holds a special event or meeting to celebrate these days, please send the following information to this Chairman:
