2007-2008 President's Project

My theme as your 2006-2008 Texas Division President is “United in Sisterhood” because there is great strength in this bond.  To me, capturing the strong, compassionate feelings of the sisterhood of the South is what the UDC is all about.  Certainly we need our policies and rules to guide our organization, but if we lose sight of the Confederate Spirit, the organization becomes an empty bell.  My goal as President will be to protect and rekindle that spirit in each of us.

As my President's Project for the next two years, I have picked the awarding of Military Service Awards. I would like for every chapter to give at least one Military Service Award each year.  This is a way to get that positive public recognition in your local newspapers, and allow people to see how we obtain one of the UDC objectives.  As the Texas Division President, I look forward to attending as many of these ceremonies as possible during the next two years.

In UDC Love,
