The Texas Division, United Daughters of the Confederacy® would like to thank you for your interest in our scholarship program. We offer a number of scholarships for those who meet the criteria set forth by our Organization. Below you will find links to information explaining our scholarship program. After you have reviewed this information, you may contact the Education Chairman via email, who will send you an application packet. This packet must be completed and submitted for further consideration by our Organization. The name and address of the Division Education Chairman is also included in the PDF version of the brochure that can be downloaded from this page. We hope that you can benefit from our scholarship program, and we look forward to receiving your request!

Katie Cabell Muse Scholarship: Southern Methodist University $1,000* Endowed Scholarship for a Junior or Senior student. Non-transferable.
University of Texas at Austin Scholarship: $1,000* Endowed Scholarship to be awarded to a Junior, Senior or Graduate student. Non-transferable.
University of Texas at Austin Scholarship: $1,000* Endowed Scholarship to be awarded to a student in any class. Non-transferable.
University of Texas at Austin Scholarship: $1,000* Endowed Scholarship to be awarded to a student in any class. Non-transferable.
Kathryn Noble Wilcox Scholarship: $500.00* Endowed Scholarship to be used in any accredited college or university in Texas. Audie Murphy Scholarship: $500.00* Endowed Scholarship to be used in any accredited college or university in Texas. Ralph W. Widener, Sr. Scholarship: $500.00* Endowed Scholarship to be used in any accredited college or university in Texas. Ralph W. Widener, Jr. Scholarship: $500.00* Endowed Scholarship to be used in any accredited college or university in Texas. Barthold Scholarship: $500.00* Endowed Scholarship to be used in any accredited college or university in Texas (Transferable). Bounds-Stone Scholarship: $500.00 Gift Scholarship to be used in any accredited college or university in Texas. Johnnie May Myers Scholarship: $500.00* Endowed Scholarship to be used in any accredited college or university in Texas.

Education is and has always been a priority with the United Daughters of the Confederacy®. The Organization offers a number of scholarships to those who meet certain criteria (see Scholarships).

The Annabella Drummond McMath Scholarship provides women over the age of 30 with the opportunity to continue (or begin) their education.

The United Daughters of the Confederacy® also presents a number of scholastic awards annually. Recipients are chosen by their academies or universities/colleges solely on the basis of merit.

United States Air Force Academy The Lieutenant General Claire L. Chenault Award to the cadet with the highest rating in basic science
United States Coast Guard Academy The Admiral Raphael Semmes Award to the cadet with the highest proficiency in applied science
United States Merchant Marine Academy The Commodore Matthew Fontaine Maury Award for excellence in physics
United States Military Academy The Robert E. Lee Sabre for highest standing in systems engineering
United States Naval Academy The Commodore Matthew Fontaine Maury Award for the outstanding student in physics
Virginia Military Institute Stonewall Jackson Award for highest academic achievement in physics
The Citadel The William Porcher DuBose Award to the First Honor Graduate and ranking cadet
Bowdoin College (Brunswick, Me.) The Jefferson Davis Award to an undergraduate excelling in constitutional law
University of Virginia The Jefferson Davis Award to a student for excellence in constitutional law
Davidson College (N.C.) George Robert Earle Grant-In-Aid
Union Theological Seminary (Richmond, Va.) The Robert E. Lee Ministerial Scholarship
