C of C Texas Division President's Project

My name is Jaclyn Beck and I am writing to you on behalf of the Children of the Confederacy. I am honored to have been recently elected to position of President of the Texas

Division of the Children of the Confederacy.

My southern heritage is extremely important to me, as it  is to other kids in the Children of the Confederacy, and I want to help preserve our heritage for future generations.  As our newly elected President General of Children of the Confederacy reminded us at our convention-

Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.     I Timothy 4:12

I wanted to personally let you know about my President’s Project and to ask for your help. My project is to conserve two of three Texas themed stained glass windows (each approx. 6 x4 ft. and individually costing over $5100 to conserve) that hung in the White House of the Confederacy from the early 1900s until the 1980s. These windows have been in storage in the museum’s basement since the 1980s and they need to be on display! The windows honor Dick Dowling and his brave men at Sabine Pass, Terry’s Texas Rangers, and Hood’s Texas Brigade.

Please help me conserve these windows so we may work to have them returned to Texas!!

Join the CofC along with the UDC, Hood’s Texas Brigade Association Re-activated and the DAR to preserve our Texas heritage and contributions. CofC will be conserving the windows on Dick Dowling and Terry’s Texas Rangers and Hood’s Texas Brigade Association Re-activated will be conserving the Hood’s window.

Please consider a donation.  Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated!!  Please contact me at with any questions or to schedule a presentation. Thank you for your consideration.
